11 Alive News Highlights U.S. Senator David Perdue’s Plan To Help Schools Safely Reopen
With schools across the country working to safely reopen in the coming weeks, Senator David Perdue is leading efforts to equip them with the tools they need to keep students, teachers, and faculty healthy and safe.
Last night, Senator Perdue joined Cheryl Preheim with 11 Alive News to discuss his new SCHOOL Act, which will help K-12 schools effectively prepare reopening plans and connect with health care professionals for additional support. This proposal does not include any federal mandates and allows parents and teachers at the local level to make decisions that they feel are best for the students in their communities.
