IN HIS OWN WORDS: Jon Ossoff Supports Defunding The Police
Jon Ossoff will say anything to hide his radical socialist agenda
In a June 11 interview with WAOK radio’s Rashad Richey, Jon Ossoff endorsed the defund the police movement, stating that he believed funding for police departments has to be “on the line.” Listen for yourself:
According to Politifact, these comments fit the definition of supporting the defund the police movement. Since then, Ossoff has desperately tried to distance himself from the defund the police push, but when challenged by Senator Perdue to sign a pledge to oppose the defund the police movement, Ossoff refused to do so.
Ossoff’s refusal to stand by Georgia’s law enforcement community has had consequences for his campaign. While 95 sheriffs and law enforcement leaders, along with the Fraternal Order of Police, have endorsed Senator Perdue, Ossoff does not appear to have a single law enforcement organization backing his candidacy.
But this isn’t the only dangerous policy Ossoff supports. Shortly before the Democrat Senate primary, he was also caught endorsing sanctuary cities, which would allow criminal illegal immigrants to evade federal authorities.
